Less than a week away to begin my Excellent Peace Corps Adventure in Azerbaijan (AZ12). I don't know how much internet access I will have in-country, but I will try and write as often as I can. My personal email account <catherine125@hotmail.com> will work for messages that you don't want posted on the blog.
Staging:
April 3rd (Thursday) @ The Crowne Plaza Philadelphia West Hotel, on City Line Avenue. The PC Team (61 at last count) will gather to begin orientation.
April 4th (Friday) - Travel to JFK, via bus, and depart for Frankfurt, Germany via Air United Airlines FLT:8842 (operated by Lufthansa). We leave NYC at 9:45pm
April 5th (Saturday) - Arrive in Frankfurt, 11:20am and depart, via Air Lufthansa FLT 612 and arrive Baku, Azerbaijan at 8:55pm (Haydar Airport).
We will stay in Baku through Wednesday, April 9th at the Ambassador Hotel in Baku. I am told I am going to have a room mate at the hotel. (I snore, so this should really start the adventure). :-)
Azerbaijan is 9 hours ahead of Philadelphia.Thank you for your support and I'll write again.
